One place the belt clip could come in handy is if you are doing small jobs under the hood. Clip it to your belt and the tools are readily available

I have one of these that I use mainly for electronics and it is quite handy. Only one downside – I was surprised to discover there are no small flat screwdriver bits, just one fairly large (6 mm) one. Sometimes you only need the basics.

Really you need both metric and standard. Seems like you spend more time getting your tools to get the job done in and out of the vehicle. You try and get what you think you need but you seems to not have what you need and in and out of the vehicle to many times takes in toll on you as you get older. This should help a lot though Eric.
