This is it folks! That last and final episode of the Chevy Tahoe. It's time for this baby to hit the armor all shop then on to live at it's final resting ground in the salt belt of NY! To bad really, it seems like a pretty decent vehicle despite the mileage. -Enjoy!

Six o'clock already, i was just in the middle of a dream. I was kissing valentino by a crystal blue italian stream, but i can't be late because then i guess i just won't get paid. These are the days you wish. Your bed was already made.

It's just another manic monday and that's what today is folks not as i get just sung by the bengals, but today is another manic monday. I just got done doing a manifold job on a dodge decoder, we're ready to get back on the tahoe. The engine mounts here from napa still not wanting to sponsor us. However, we're gon na get her done.

I'm gon na take out the three bolts up here still got the battery charger set on nuclear. The battery in this thing smoked - that's neither here nor there. Let's get this job done, let's see if we can just reach all the way downtown with a 15.. I don't remember if these are lock, tighten it lock top black tweeted.

Let's see that one rolls pretty easy and then let's see here, get up on that joint there that one goes pretty easy and then we got the third one here. I feel like i'm whispering in here here speaking of whispering in the ears. What's up, mrs though, oh you got a visitor, freaking, weirdo youtuber, no, it's a local, some freaking local weirdo. No, it's a local! You like! Oh okay! That's what i like.

I don't like many people. Actually i like fishing a little bit hunting. I mean like four other people, one of those people you like more than four people. You have four people in your immediate family, so yeah you shouldn't catch on ain't.

You come in. Okay, okay, don't be just a minute whatever it is yeah. I think they're locked taught all right. I better go see who's here.

Anyhow, when i get back i'm going to zip he's at those three bolts out we're going down on this little girl there we go baby we'll be able to get up under here. With this little guy nope, not on that one anyways, let's see if we can get in here, one way or another nice to be able to get a couple of these loose prior to lifting the engine up. But we have a different tool well, that one's right out of there you know what those might not have the lock taut on them. They might not be locked tauted because they came up pretty easy.

So let me just try a plain old fashion. I'll give an old fashion handy here to see if they just crack right, loose and spin out. I think they do well be dipped. Look at that.

We ain't even gon na fight us, so we'll leave this bottom one in over here on this side. It should be sitting in there pretty well just wedged in there anyways, i'm thinking if we take them all out, it ain't really going anywheres, but i've uh. I've been wrong a time or two in my life today. Now, just for grins and giggles, we'll crack this bottom one loose see what happens see if the whole engine slips down.

I don't think it will, but it might yeah something must have changed, because this one has a little bit more tension on it than all the other ones did so prior to removing that all the way. Let's unplug this here center knock sensor, just kind of get it out of our way and uh. Let's grab a jack and see if we can't lift the engine up. Just a tiny bit take some tension off.
It spread one of the dumber things. I've done. Try to get this board here - oh it's done, but it works. Let's see try to do it without crushing our entire hand.

Use your left hand if you're right-handed, of course, i'm using my right hand because i'd like to lift dangerously, i guess it'd probably be best to lose when you don't use a lot, let's see if she loose now, oh yeah, let's uh lift her up here. A little bit more all right that feels pretty sturdy, not really. How would you look at that like a glove? Let's get the whole brand new one. Here, hang on folks, hang on this one's snapper.

Let's see come on baby, oh you're snug a little easier when you're uh a little bit looser. Let's uh try to put a little tension on here. All right. We've got it jacked up, probably about as high as you don't get guess what baby it's all we needed so now we're going to let it down very gingerly here, all right, she's, just about touching right there.

Let's get some bolts started back in this thing here. We go using the good hand again when we shouldn't be got one bolt there come on baby. You don't want to cross your him in the block. It was aluminum.

Maybe, but this is cast iron. So that's three out of four that ain't bad. I think there's a song about that either you guys can't see. Crap, oh well, trust me folks, i'm putting the bolts in it not much to see.

There's the old one she pee peed, all over must be a hydraulic, mount or hydraulic. What's left of it good thing, it's got the built-in safety, because that was the only thing holding the old grill together. So there easy peasy, hey old girl. We need you by.

We mean me, you got time to give me a hand. You need me to come on. I do at least one of them where okay girl, i need to get a fan blowing. So it's like this here, like yeah, it's not smoke, that's aluminium dust.

Oh, it's been proven to give people alex shimer. So, who am i uh, so you remember when you're like oh yeah, that that delivery guy he just picked that up no problem. Remember when you're telling me all that and you're telling me how big a study is in this night. You remember that, mrs, oh maybe i took it the wrong way, but anyhow we're gon na pick that little guy up stick it up in here.

I'm not thinking of that. I know i'm gon na try to impress you again and then, when i pick it up, you got to put those nuts on again with the nuts you know, which ones all right. That's the plan it could fail miserably and there's a couple more bolts here. These two - i think it is there, like.

I say if i'm really struggling or we're doing good these two go up in here, but i don't think i don't think you can get to these easily. They go over and uh yeah. Let me i'll get you something. Let's go over here: let's have a tool box tour, oh yeah, toolbox.
Tour people always wanted a toolbox too, like you want to know how you do it and what your tools are like. I'm like that's stupid, oh they begged, for it put that socket on your way. Oh yeah, there you go that'll work right just in case we need them. You can put that down right there, though, stick it right there.

It's a good thing. I don't do movies for women. I shouldn't have waited until they had that, because i never get the good angles wow. This was not heavy the last time we did, you can do it there.

No get those nuts come on girlfriend. Give me that one okay, basically do it by myself. At this point, i got mine, that's using your noodle yeah great, i'm still holding this side. Oh man thanks.

Actually, i feel like such a plus i'm not breathing hard we're not even oh running running yeah. That's what i was thinking we're not even running here, you get it started in the hole over here in the back. You got me in see it i'll hold. It up feel like it's starting.

You always good the first time, every time myself, that's that i guess we'll take them button this baby up now, wow good. Did i remind you of the delivery guy? Did he have a fresh haircut? I have no idea really. Oh well. You're super bragging, i'm not in the first video.

No, i remember the people remember they're, like oh, you better watch out for that delivery. That's what they were saying in the comments hold on. I don't think that people can see crap. I don't think they can see it.

I don't know what they can see. It doesn't matter because, honestly, they even tell me like it doesn't really matter what you're doing all right, i'm missing those out there with him. Let's go! That's andy. I try to run a professional automotive repair channel and never just want to see my wife mouth yeah.

I always saying that like right in my eyeballs, maybe i'm doing it on purpose. Maybe it's an accident, ah uh, so so so foreign. So now that she's all snugged up, hopefully i get the right size, wrench and hopefully we've got the right gear ratio and hopefully it's not full of metal. It should be empty.

I think the junkyard's empty these, but just in case we got a bucket ready all right, not a lot of porcupines on the drain, plug fluid looks like any other gm front fluid. Now these differentials in four-wheel drive vehicles, not we're not just picking on chevrolet like we usually do. Let's pick on all of them he's a toyota the best of the best, for whatever reason these have a tendency to collect an insane amount of moisture uh. It is often that when we have four drive vehicles in for a service, we're checking the front differentials and, i would say primarily ford and gm.

I don't know why, because they all use aluminium housings. But perhaps it's a lot of factors but for whatever reason, when we check them they're, oftentimes, very, very milky and very foamy. So they have a real big tendency to take on moisture. And i don't know why.
I don't know if it's condensation, which i would have to believe it probably is heating and cooling, is because it's so close to the engine. It gets hot and cooled and hot and cool uh. I don't know now the drain the fill plug. I already took this uh loose prior to lifting it up here off camera, so we're gon na.

Let that drizzle we're gon na get some gear oil we're gon na pump it in then we got ta, set it down and finish our engine mount job. And then we just got ta, take it for a tube and if everything's cool this baby's going on a lot for 10, 9.99 or somewhere, there abouts this little guy works, slick. I'll show you it's great for transferring fluid, especially when you don't want to squeeze it from the jug. She works off.

Your classic 3 8 chuck goes in the drill clicks in there. The mac tools sells them uh, no idea who makes it. Let me give you a part number here: we got an inning in an audi. This is the annie and the nice part.

Is it it's when you unhook it, it doesn't make a big mess. So when you unhook this, it clicks it off. So, there's only just a little bit of fluid in there of whatever it was that you used last time. I typically leave myself a little love note inside here to let myself know what i use.

You know it was a subaru cvt was a honda. Dual pump fluid with a gear oil uh, but i just used this a little bit ago and i had some 80 90 in it or 75 90. uh. So there's a little tiny bit of gear oil in there and we're gon na fill it up with some of the napper uh, not a sponsor 80w 90..

So we're going to do that and you just squeeze the trigger you know out comes the gear. Oil works. Great takes a minute to prime up the gear oil. Obviously the other end of this is in the tube or in the gear oil.

You know, but uh yeah, no whoops, i'm just going to show you how it squirts out, but i guess you can envision uh. What's happening here, but yeah shirts beat uh, beats using a suction gun or rose duster, whatever you want to call them really fantastic for filling up transmissions. Uh, underneath i mentioned subaru, that's the last one i did with the subaru cvt when you got ta pump in like seven eight quarts. This thing is the bee's knees.

There's that now we got ta swap out whoa swap out with a fresh court. That's a fresh court should only take about a quart and a half. Let this thing get primed up again. There we go and we just fill it up till it.

You know spills out the hole here, no matter how many times i try to show you, it doesn't work, but it doesn't shoot it that far because it's gear oil we'll let that keep filling until it comes out as a steady stream. Here you got ta rotate that front drive shaft for me, josh, that's good! I just want to make sure that ring opinion was good and coated there. We go folks she's coming out good and steady and we'll put the uh check plug right back in there. Fingers crossed that's the right gear ratio might have to run some smaller tires on the front or bigger.
I guess either way, whichever way it works out. Oh, let's see this thing got a part number on it. It does right. There's the part number.

You could probably look it up on the mac tools. Yeah there's the number right there drill pump, i'm sure you know when they sell them on a tool truck. They just sell them for a stupid amount of money and they don't make them. You know.

Obviously, somebody else makes this for for them. Just you know rebrand: it change the color and mark it up, but um candy, if you find out, who makes it instead of buying it from mac tools, just buy it, you know buy it elsewhere, but to find out who makes it uh. I guess i could. I could vouch for this tool great tool, uh, the only thing that's a pain is cleaning the tubes.

I take the spout on the pressure washer or on the parts. Washer run it through it. Then i just leave the tubes hanging in the back room over the parts washer. Let them dry out.

If you need them immediately, you can, you know, probably toot some brake parts cleaner through them and clean them out, but uh yeah, pretty uh, pretty handy bit of kit. The three remaining bolts have been reinstalled. Now, yes, on the front differential, i did hook up the vent and the wiring harness there. It looks like she's done charging on nuclear, so i'll shut it off.

Hopefully it's got enough juice in it. It's been charging for days at two amps uh. It won't take a charge. This battery is garbage uh.

Hopefully it's got an aftermarket, freaking alarming remote start too so plug your ears, because i don't know how stupid it's going to get. Okay didn't get stupid, that's good! The only thing that sucks is the dealership that sold it at the auction. You know it's common, you always put the junk battery in the car before you take the auction, but it just sucks. They left all the pieces out.

You know the bolts for the bracket and the brace that goes in here, so that kind of sucks but uh. I suppose we get some of that. You can get some of that at the junkyard back tires off the ground, no aftermarket alarm blasting off on us. Oh, we still got it neutral, oh baby hold on we're in.

Let's see it's drawer in the park shut, the key on. Let's turn that lights off come on baby just start for me, one more time, all right. Of course, i think we showed that already, let's uh yeah - i guess we just put it right in technically. Well, that's good folks! We do have four wheel peel, so the front axle actuator works.

Well all right and it goes back into two-wheel drive. So that's good. Make sure the auto portion of the transfer case works? Well, that's good that works that belt is about annoying. Let me tell you, let's take it for a rip here.
Folks, oh well, here we'll see if the ratio is correct, we'll do it the easy way we'll put it in four-wheel drive while we're moving, and if the ratio is incorrect, it will explode. So, let's see must be. The ratio is correct. I'll put it back in two wheel: drive because it did not explode, which is a heck of a lot quieter than we were on the first test.

Drive i'll. Tell you that much so yeah! What's with it for having 247 392 on the clock, the old chevrolet doesn't drive too awful bad steering. Wheel's cockeyed needs a wheel line. If i could use some tlc but seems to drive halfway.

Decent relatively quiet on the inside tires are smooth. Brakes are smooth, four-wheel, drive is now smooth. All the lights are out. Let's pull down in here into the park, we'll give her some burnouts make sure everything's cool all right, we'll stop here.

There's two-wheel drive burnout, we'll go in the four-wheel, oh she's hooking. She hawks and we'll turn around and make sure we've got no funky noise a little bit of crow hopping to be expected in the four-wheel drive. But actually i guess we can make sure auto works. Okay, she's in yep.

She hooks in auto back in the two wheel: perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect yeah. It doesn't look like you got too bad a buy. I think you bought it for a song and it's not rusty, so it's worth a million dollars here in new york. That's it folks, we'll head back to the shop all right folks, we made it back to the shop.

Just fine, the old chevrolet seems to work well, we'll call up our used car guy and tell them come and get it and he can do whatever else. He's got to do to it now. That's all he wanted us to do. Was all the fancy computer stuff and figure out what was wrong with the four wheel, drive and uh, of course, the tpms light and the crank uh relearn that we did so now.

He'll. Take run it through a drive cycle. If there's any other problems, i'm sure he'll be bringing it back uh. The guy also has a shop himself, so he'll take care of some of the other smaller items, i'm certain and i think that's it folks.

I don't really know what else to say. I think the job went reasonably well and uh. That's that all i want to see. Is you in that comment section the questions, the comments, the concerns find us on the institute, the facebook and just remember yours.

I can do it, you can do it thanks for watching you.

I had no idea that they made hydraulic engine mounts. Way cool. Your dynamic with your wife is amazing. My dream was to always have a woman that would do things with me. Yeah, no luck in this life. Unless I want to just watch TV the rest of my life.

“Not a sponsor” but we all know your discount is easily 30% or more 😏. And the moisture is because they rarely get used. Only one side disconnects, being it’s an open diff, and the case is in neutral, only one spider gear might spin with enough drag if the oil is thin enough. On a Jeep, for instance, you have a driveshaft spinning the ring n pinion and 2 axle shafts going to normal hubs. No springs, actuators, lock-in/lock-outs, vacuum, vac lines, vac canisters, motors or any bs. The hubs are directly splined to the axle shaft, slid in to the spiders. That’s it. That $8 of fuel you save by adding in $800 of bs to make it not spin is an R word, in which if used will offend at least two.

Nice job Mr. & Mrs. O! Nice how you two work together!
