Grrr.... can drive a man to drinking ๐Ÿบ am I right!?Any how, it just get frustrating after a while. -Enjoy!

Who loves comebacks, not this guy stupid, junk aftermarket crap y'all. Remember the nissan i just said: y'all like i'm from the south, you remember the nissan we went through, we diagnosed it. It has a bad resistor, we'll call it, and we also found that the blower motor was junk, and then we decided, let's call a mapper, even though they don't sponsor us. Oh great somebody's been in this freaking box and uh.

Have them send us up one? Instead of you know, calling nissan and having them send us up one, but i figured hey it's a blower motor. How bad can they have to be that's what real bad is the answer real bad. It's just frustrating af people, because it makes you look like a tool in front of your customer. You try to do a quality job.

You make the right call, you do a good diag and you install crappy parts, and then it gets you. So i think you guys probably remember from part one we uh checked out the power transistor here and the blower motor even did a little bonus footage for you and uh. Then we put the new ones in now. You'll remember when we put the new one in from napper, it sounded like a 747.

You know thing was whistling like crazy. I didn't make a big deal of it in the video, but what i did i said well, this is stupid and i told the fella. I said: hey fella um, you know fixed your car. I got you heat uh, stop back and see me tomorrow, i'm going to order you a new new blower motor, the one i put in i'm not satisfied with it sounds terrible.

So he's like yeah. That's you know he was cool with that happy that he had heat again, even though it was obnoxiously, loud uh fan so on and so forth. So long story short as they say down state you come back the next day. I put it in that motor was complete trash okay, this mortar here i says sorry fella again apologizing for the parts that they sell me said, stop back.

I said i'm gon na buy you all nissan stuff. You have a nice day, so here we are doing what we should have done. The first time we should have just bought. Oh yeah made him wait a day.

Instead, i'm trying to give customers satisfaction. You know they pay me to bring the pleasure, and here we are i'm gon na - take this piece of crap, i'm not trying to throw a nap on the bus, because this is what i mean. We are at this point, but you know the parts guy. Therefore, he didn't build it, he didn't buy, he didn't break it, but more than i did it's just it's aftermarket parts in general.

These suck good mechanics, look like a bunch of idiots, oh wow. They make one, it doesn't sound like a jet airplane or better. Yet they make one that actually works. So that's that folks, he's out of here got stuff boxed up in the nissan box and then we'll have to send that back a snapper try to get our money back, which shouldn't be a problem.

They'll give us our money back. However, you know we've lost the cost of the difference between the parts yeah. You know i could have sold to the customer and said hey. You know you owe me more money for the genuine stuff, but instead i know it's been a huge pain in the ass for them.
So i just you know here you go, you know it's not upset or nothing. It's just it's stupid. You know we fit the stupid, you bring it in. Have your car fixed you put on your crappy parts, it's still broke, it's worse, you know whatever.

So that's that head onto that comment section tell me your woes of aftermarket stuff down there. That concerns the inste. The facebook you know where to find these folks and just smart viewers, if i can do it, you can do it thanks for watching.

That's good customer care right there – eating the difference in parts cost. Way to go ๐Ÿ˜€
On the other hand – it's also how to gain or keep a loyal customer so you get all the work to fix up their jalopy as the salt eats it alive over the years. Also – Way to go ๐Ÿ˜€

Seasons Greetings to you and yours. Thanks for all the edutainment through what has been a couple of relatively grim years for a lot of people – it really helps. Here's to a better 2022 for all!

    Nice jobย
itโ€™s not the fact you mess up every one does ( when I say you I donโ€™t mean you as in personally I mean you as in people in general) itโ€™s not how you mess up that people rememberย

Itโ€™s how you recover that people remember and you sir went above and beyond for your customer to put it right even though it wasnโ€™t your fault that the parts were badโ€ฆ

It sucks from a business perspective because you look bad and feel bad even though you shouldnโ€™t
And it costs you time and money,
But on the plus side that customer will always come back because he knows you stand by your work..ย

And remember people no good deed goes unpunished

So frustrating especially since it happened TWICE ! It sucks for you and the customer. I have also noticed the aftermarket parts aren't to a better standard. Where's the quality control ? Out the window I guess. Thanks for sharing as it makes many of us feel we're not alone in this parts dilemma.

I have been in business for over 50 years and having caught a cold with aftermarket spares many years ago, always fit genuine manufacturers spares. I hate having to do one job twice. Nine times out of ten, the price is similar and you get the added 'I can sleep at night' satisfaction of knowing that if their part fails under their warranty period, the manufacturer covers the cost of re fitting another part.

Save yourself some money and keep the original. If it's just making some racket but still working, you can spray some love into the small hole in the black plastic. Should take care of your issue. I used lithium grease into it with the tube that every can of lube has, and it took care of my issue. No need to replace it.

My shop does not use aftermarket parts unless they're the only ones available and the deal are no longer carries a specific part or has been discontinued. Most aftermarket parts are nothing but straight trash, and if you are going with any kind of electrical sensor I always go with standard motor parts company, and never buy their T-Series parts

Fuel pumps are a favorite. Often factory parts are so prohibitively expensive or simply not available that you're left in the aftermarket to even get the job done. On one Ford van I had 2 new pumps fail in a matter of a couple weeks. Of course tank was always full, of course it took dropping the tank to do the job. One big problem was the shop owner actively sought the cheapest parts he could, leaving plenty of comebacks to do.

Gotta say after opening up a few Chevy truck aftermarket blower fans myself and the stock OEM ones [Yellow Impeller] I can confirm corners have been cut to offer a "cheaper" solution. Not cheaper if you replace them twice as often but hey if it gets you out of a bind during a cash flow drought then so be it. The main difference I've noticed on the Chevy truck OEM blowers are better impeller balance, type of plastic used, and EMF isolation on the motor (aluminum collar on top of the metal shield). With that said I currently have two dead OEM fans, and one aftermarket that is still kicking, surprisingly well balanced, and blows air just as strong as the factory one. It's a welcome surprise to say the least after dealing with the aftermarket grand am, and neon parts that can barely be installed without breaking them. The one I have is a white impeller that DOES NOT have the holes cut in it all the other aftermarket ones seems to.

My back of the napkin hand math says you get about 8 months of continuous use out of a Chevy truck OE blower fan (meaning you ran the fan continuously for 8 months straight 24/7) which for normal use means you get anywhere between 6-11 years out of them… at which point they've chewed through their graphite brushes. First sign of failure for those will be noticeable velocity loss, then it will start ticking, then you can't get the fan to start up below level 3 but once it does it will run on speed 1, then it won't keep turning below level 3 or 4, then one day it just stops all together unless you kick it…. then kicking it won't work anymore….. or so I've heard from a friend…….

oh and word from the wise lol!!! If you take one out and pull it apart get the dawn soap ready and put down some sacrificial towels on the floor beneath where you're opening it up. It's essentially brake dust in there and everywhere on the impeller…. wife still gives me the "look" whenever she walks past that spot on the laminate floor

maybe I'm toooo old but everything and most everybody has GONE TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET! Everywhere I turn I meet IDIOTS! Except Mr+Mrs O! Seriously, my medical supply company can't even get CPAP mask sizing right. How lame is that? ยฟJoy to the World?

Would swapping the squirrel cage with original have eliminated the 707 sounds?

It's not just in the automotive industry either but in all trade parts ! I grew up in the garage as my dad ran his own shop and sold cars on the side but I hated getting greasy so went into building maintenance! We absolutely cannot get any decent parts anymore for anything (refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, appliances) , no matter what you buy or what company you buy from 1 to 2 parts of every 5 you buy is defective! Sure we get replacements but it still makes the technician look bad/stupid etc !! I've been on calls where every "new" part I had on the service truck was bad!!

ordered a set of wheel hub assemblies from detroit axle for a 2006 buick lacrosse. One of them goes bad within 6 months and has to be replaced again. It was my moms car and shes always price conscious when making purchasing decisions so I went with the cheaper brand. Never again thats for sure. The saying 'you get what you pay for' sure does apply to car parts.

There are different grades of after-maket parts, good ones come from japan, germany, poland…and junky ones come from china, india, vietnam…NAPA seems to be selling the cheap junky stuff to maximize profits. When you shop online, at least you get to pick what brand you want to order, something you can't do with NAPA

Let's be honest folks it is not a Napa problem, O'Reilly's, Autozone, Advance, Rock Auto or any of them. It is aftermarket parts in general regardless of where they come from. They all sell the same stuff in different boxes when you start actually chasing it backwards. It just seems more frustrating somedays than others is all. Am I going to keep buying it just like the rest of you? You betchya! ๐Ÿ˜
