Hey there, viewers welcome back to the south main auto channel, that's our 2011 honor accord. It's got the big two four and it needs a right front wheel, bearing she's suppressing variety, see if these rotor screws want to cooperate. What that one? Does that one does? That's always nice. We can all just get along and peel the whole caliper off here right in one piece, 17 mil these two bolts out here, there's that i'm gon na get a screwdriver and pry that back a little.

Let me get in there shimmer baby there. We go. I just want to push that piston in just a little bit like, so let me get a hook, so we can hold that baby up top there. That's tied up by the way.

Now i slid the rotor off the baby. Came right off must have had a brake job recently because it came apart so easy, i'm gon na get a hold of this cotter pin here come on baby. I got ta be like that. Try my lucky pair well i'll, be usually get ready to hold that sucker.

Well, they just don't want to slide through. Do they there. She goes nope. Now you did it! Mr, oh you just chopped it off! Well done that stuff.

Let's stay on the job here! Huh, let's try this: let's take a tab come on well, this thing's, just gon na make me use my middle finger. Sorry, i'm done asking i'm doing the old-fashioned way just like so old-fashioned. Now i can see you now. You can't hide now.

You can't hide yeah. Now win, you lose ball joint, we're not going to bust that loose just yet. We just wanted to get the cotter pin out of it really, and then it hit the stupid. We're going level see about taking this little fella.

There's that, like that baby, now we're going to see about getting this snap ring off here, see if we get lucky yeah. I don't want to break my players. I'm gon na i got a new uh ring coming for us, but we'll see if we can't bust that loose a little bit track. The old-fashioned way here, first forward bust out there tools, there's that side moving and i got ta try to give you guys reach out here.

Oh look at that. I need to get lucky so now we have to give it the old squeeze. Oh boy should already go flinging on us cover your peepers. Oh look at that, didn't even send it flying man.

Today is my lucky day. Let's see if we get lucky in this ball joint too, i think this tool will work. Just fine for us grab a socket here: 5 8.. Give her a little tension.

Whoa always gets me every time, scared of pudding right out of you. There we go now. We all we want to do is get the cv axle out of the way. Now we have to be careful, we've got a speed sensor back here, which, with the amount of the rust in the crust and salt, will not come out, but i think we'll be okay.

That's gon na be a close one. That's gon na be a close one. Folks, we'll try that one so make sure we're not gon na hit anything back there i'll get all of our jiggly bits. We need we're just going to use our forcing screw and the cup and then this flat plate from the back here and we're going to push her pull it through.
Rather, if all goes well, this is a matco kit. We also have the otc hub, tamer and the hub grappler got both of those. I think you guys have seen us do a lot of front wheel, bearings or pressing bearings. All the kits are about the same.

I guess same principle anyways, i think, there's some cheaper kits like this online. I even think the harbor freight makes them. If i remember right, you guys have told me that before i think let me get the socket here. Okay cover your eyes and your ears.

Oh baby, there it is oh there it is, there's our bearing and uh. This does have the magnetic uh spot on the backside there, for the magnetic tone ring so make sure when you press this baby in that we go in in the right direction. Just be careful that speed sensor in there, this one looks pretty good uh grooves pretty clean on it, so not a whole lot of cleaning necessary. Now we just have to wait uh for our bearing to show up we better see about getting this bearing race off or waiting for the new bearing to show up you don't trick me.

Mom tommy works 50 percent of the time every time a little wobbly today. Oh there she goes baby just like so rob it's your mother's brother. Don't tell anybody that trick. I'm just kidding.

You could tell what i want so nafta. Finally showed up got the fw26. That's the bearing that's the magnetic side. That's the non-magnetic side make darn two and you put it in the right direction.

Otherwise, you're gon na be really upset at yourself and we're gon na take a backer up on the inside here now make sure you're using the appropriate tool edge zing this in here a little whoa easy easy. Let's see! No reason, we can't put that in right. Let's take her until she hits bottom, we did get a new snap ring somewhere got it. You could reuse your old one.

If you want typically here and prny, you can't because they're so rusty a general rule. So i'm making sure when i make darn tootin. That's in all the way, so we're gon na get a little punch. We're just gon na go around that a little bit just to be on the safe side.

I think we're okay, folks, uh, let's get our spindle now! Oh they'll, push that in all right. It's cooled down, it seems cool man. Now we want to back this bearing up just on the inner race on the inside. So i have to get something to do that.

That's a little too small, just right, so we'll stick that there do something like that. Give her a little push where's, my well all right, any reason it can't go together. I don't think so always ask yourself that at least that way, when you put together and you're wrong, you feel real stupid, just like so folks, just like we'll so a little bit of the anti-seize up in here. These honduras, don't really have a problem, usually better safe than sorry, we'll align our cv axle back up then we'll line our ball joint back up, make sure.
That's all contamination free, there's that and we'll stick the castle nut back on. There make sure you torque that to factory spec and put the new cotter pin back in it same thing, with the axle to torque that to factory spec and then we'll re-stake it down. Usually, the stake mark ends up about back where it was generally, but we'll double check make sure everything's cool there all right, so we're going to go 2904 inch pounds holy smokes play it like a tiger. That's what that is 242 foot pounds we're going to stick that baby back in or 329 thick newton meters like a little woodpecker all right that big stake back a little little sprint there, the fluid film and our rotor is nice and clean on the inside.

So we don't even have to mess with rust, which is great back here. Bing bong, bing bong make sure you get all the twists out of the brake hose here. You don't want no, no piggy tails. These brakes look fairly.

Recent little blue loctite on your bolts here back there, we'll put them in we'll get the torque spec for those babies, torque them down to factory specs and then we'll be on our way down road wishful thinking. Pale. Let's see three thirty seconds of an inch cutter. Key is what we needed, not a one eight.

This is going to piss some people off the improper bending of the cotter pin all right there. You have it folks, right back to where we started. Uh wheel, bearings in everything's, been torqued to factory specs, except the wheel now throw the wheel on it i'll, take it for a shake down, make sure everything's, nice and quiet. This thing was moderately loud.

The inner race was growling on it pretty good. It was pretty easy to tell which side it was uh plus to be sure we ran out of lift, so we knew for a hundred percent for sure anyways. I know 100 for sure i want you to go in that comment section. The questions the comments, the concerns you might have, but it's on the insti, the facebook and just my viewers.

    I don't live in the rust belt so this is a sincere question: Is the salt absolutely necessary for safe travel on the road? Wouldn't it be better to require motorists to have proper tires and driving skill instead? The damage salt causes is unbelievable to me.

    Did breaks all around on a 17 suburban yesterday also in the prny those caliper mounting bolts were no joke holy crap they have to be the tightest ones from the factory I’ve ran into so far even worse then the 3/4 trucks and vans and I’m a smaller guy but I make it work

    Hey Mr. O, what kind of ball joint separator did you use? I have 3 different ones and none of them quite work on either of my accords. I always have to compress the suspension then shove a socket next to the joint between the knuckle and control arm, then release the suspension to pop it loose.
