In this video I have a look at a customers 2008 Cadillac DTS that had a complaint of the brake lights always being on. This one is an easy fix if you own one of these cars but may require a trip to the shop if you don't have a compatible scan too. A simple brake pedal position relearn may be just what the Dr. ordered for this one. -Enjoy!

Did the brake light switch move in the bracket causing the changed position?
Great video as always, Dr. O! Have run into that before and the only ones I never could fix permanently like that were the Malibu, G6, Aura, I believe they recalled the BCM for the issue not staying calibrated.

Hopefully that was as easy to fix as it looks. Because after watching you replace exhaust manifold bolts, you need an easy one. LoL

Cool fix, I wonder what caused it to fall out of calibration?
Oh and if the accelerator is floored and you throw It into neutral then hope that the engine Rev limiter works so the engine doesn't blow. It worked until I could find a safe place to pull over

And oh BTW the Cruise control is on the same double pole switch which can cause you to go careening off of a major highway with your engine fighting you to floor the gas as you are trying to merge into heavy traffic on the BQE in rush hour. Ask me how I know.
This happened to my aunts 04 civic and it turned out being a 10$ brake pedal plastic nipple that presses the brake pedal switch. Thankfully dorman sells a fix for it, instead of replacing the whole brake pedal assembly.
Have the same cadillac, had the same problem. Also have the same parking sensor issue too lol
