I thought maybe she ate up a brush because she sounds a little funny. The good news is napper has one uh, although they're not willing to sponsor us. Yet this doesn't have any screws holding together. It looks like it is crimped together.

As far as holding all the jiggly bits in well, we got to save this because there was two options: they had the blower motor with the wheel and without the wheel we ordered the one with the wheel, but we're gon na save the wheel in case. We really need it in the end. You see what i did there so we'll stick that to the side. Oh we're just screwing off at this point.

Folks, look at that! It's just like working on a tesla. Does this make me a hybrid mechanic? I shouldn't say anything till we get together, get it together. Man yeah the bushings all beat out the end of it. I don't think that's going to be a no parts required fix.

Sorry ivan sorry, i let you down. Buddy, oh yeah, she's poached. That's what used to be the bearing that's pretty well screwed. This should be our brushes here.

Yeah keep them from flying out all over the place. Oh yeah spoke too soon. Plenty of brushes left, just the bearing screwed. I don't know if we can get that connector up out of there yeah, probably not without breaking, might it to go full destruction mode yeah bearing to see straight up tight.

It's already like a tiger, that's fun. This is just like that channel, where they rebuild everything that little bearing that one's still good this one. On the end, that's what this one's supposed to look like! Look how much it brushes the wore into that. We had a lazy.

We could turn that all down and renew the whole thing, but we don't just kind of fun to see some of this stuff. You know that's a pretty soft material, whatever that, whatever they made that bearing material out it seems like our pliers kind of cut into it a little bit easy now, we'd, probably smooth that up. Stick that baby right back in so i did a little shaft polishing off camera and the little bushings there they fit on that baby smooth. Now, i'm pretty sure.

If we were in the pits of siberia or state college pennsylvania, we might have a no parts required fix here. Folks, this, however, getting this bushing back down in its little holder, i think, is going to prove to be somewhat difficult. The rear, bushing, it's reinstalled uh with two giant permanent magnets in the way, using all metallic tools, it's kind of interesting, the little finger retainer that holds it in. I found it uh just as well to take that thing out.

Try to put your bushing in, but those magnets are strong. It was quite a little show wrong way: fella lubed up the wrong shaft. Actually, this one goes through that side right so put a little more lube on that the completely wrong lube. So before you leave all your comments, we know that you like to say this thing's going in the garbage boys, you want to feel like completely incompetent turn around with a magnet for a minute where you at baby there.
She is got it perfect. I need to go to the vice, and then how do we go about getting our brushes down there? We'll get them kind of started like that and i'll just hold this here. I guess i'll use a little pocket screwdriver, perhaps just kind of flick them back flick that one back flick that one back all right almost had it coming down the old commutator. There hey look at that first try and then we already wiped a little lube on that.

Technically we should be able to put this thing on. I don't know if it mattered, which way it went probably pretty evenly spaced. Isn't it is it? No? It's not it. Actually is clocked so now we got to find out the pattern.

Perhaps it's that one nope we only got one more shot at it. Oh yeah first try and then i don't know how we're gon na repeat it over. I guess it doesn't matter. Does it spin? Oh yeah, she spins, let's see what's gon na work, i can feel it.

It looks like all they did. They just had it pinned over here. I know i like doing siberia, but this is how we do it where i'm from she's fully assembled now mint. Am i doing a pinch? Hey.

That is a great example of what is possible on multiple items in a vehicle. But throw away mentality is rampant and I can only assume that it is due to labour input costs to "repair" something without having to buy a whole new item. Transmissions are clearly like that and so are many other things in and outside the automotive industry.

Ever since Renault gained a large share of Nissan the quality has gone down big time, they used to be the best built vehicles out there.

There at the end with the end cover; it’s always the last combination on the clocking for me too. Chuckled inside. Love these type videos as well, I take everything apart since I was probably 5 years old. 57 now… lol

We used to have a shop in the city where I live that rebuilt electric motors. Most of their business originally came from large industrial motors but they would repair small motors as well. Unfortunately industry went overseas and the owners were in their “twilight” years so the shop is now gone.

another fantastic video, but I'd think twice about telling your audience about polishing your shaft off camera. Just sayin 😁😁😁🔧🔧🔧

Put that on a resister to run at an average speed and set in the shop and take bets on how long it runs before it catches fire and burns down the shop. Would be fun.

You answered my question, when testing on the first video, why not put some volts, 12, on motor? PS, does a blower motor usually have that much rust? Is it a NY thing?

Guaranteed for as long as you can see the tail lights ! I'm sure those bushings are available…just have to know where to get them. What's interesting, the guts of that motor are likely way way better built than the new one by far !

Hey man, I heard the bell ringing, (or maybe it was your phone), you know what that means???? DOUBLE BONUS!!!!! (like the old pin-ball machines I used to play in the late '70's, early '80's) …Yeah baby!

Nice tear down, my curiosity kills me if I don't take parts apart and try to fixed. Love the video great content. By the way MERRY CHRISTMAS to all . Take care thanks 😊

my neighbour used to turn that shaft down by putting it in a drill press or use a drill in a vice and spin the shaft while holding a file against it lightly until it was even across the part.

"Lubed the wrong shaft"?!? Not something you hear everyday, and I'm worried this occurs for you somewhat often? Lol J/K!

In the past when i didnt have much money to spend I always triedt to repair something like this first before buying a new part.
I think it is better to rebuild a alternator or starter then buying a aftermarket part!
