There you have it folks, the 2018 chevrolet, it's the 5'3. Of course. The money lights on we've got lean codes, we've got rich codes and it also smells like how do you say urine of uh the mice, and it didn't take too long to figure this one out smell it over here. The mouse ate a hole in the air filter and uh.

You know, put it stuff down there in the air box, but the big problem with. Is it sucked up a little piece of that fuzz and it is in the mass airflow sensor and hence so you can see that little piece of fuzz in the middle of the airflow meter left this guy hoofing it because this thing will barely run and that's It folks uh old cars, could ingest the entire air filter. Nowadays we get a little piece of fuzz on our mass airflow and well you're left walking. You have a nice day,.

I always get agitated when I see vermin damage on vehicles like this. The design needs to improve to prevent this and the materials used need to detour them, not attract them.

You pay $70k for an overly sensitive piece of plastic junk that maybe lasts 100k miles if you’re lucky…I’ll keep driving my early 2000s cars. God help us when they rust in half…

Saabs back in the 90’s had a mesh screen to stop debris hitting the wire of their early MAFS, I don’t know why more don’t adopt this simple solution.

I get so frustrated and angry at this stuff because I could totally see myself working on this for like a whole day and not knowing what's wrong and never ever thinking to check this. It just makes me not want to work on cars

Had an old E150 do that , mid 90’s , no mice tho , just a cheap air filter , one of the cone style. Towed in , got all those codes, scratched head for a minute to think of where to start. Upon opening air box and found this , chuckling I sold the air filter and sent guy on his way . He had CAA , your version would be AAA so his towing was on him.

I have seen this happen on other cars and trucks also where a mouse uses the paper air filter for nesting material in the air box, maybe they need to put a plastic screen over the air intake opening. LOL

I hate mice and rats. Pests. My mom was alllll bent outta shape when I put snap traps in and around my car when I found that one had gotten into my cabin AF box. 😑 I told her I'd snap its neck with my own hands if I ever caught it. Hanta carrying, no bladder sphincter having, foam and paper and wiring chewing, problem causing nuisances is what they are. Disgusting. 😑 I don't feel bad killing them when they ruin the most expensive thing I own.

Stuck using his ol' chevrolegs. Anything for a little efficiency and to make the consumer comfortable in a truck that won't be doing truck stuff.

Mice, squirrels, chipmunks & salt. These are a few of the things that make me like West Texas. Sure, we get plenty of the first 3 but, they don't mess with our trucks.

I bet nobody misses the days you could rebuild an entire car with common hand tools more than Eric does. Today, you need to be a computer and electronic genius just to diagnose the problem.
