Free tip friday, for you folks, uh fluid film. We love it. Why? Because it stops rust. We got a beautiful truck here from florida, uh rust free second year on the fluid film drum's just about out and one thing folks love the fluid film.

You guys know. I'm an advocate for it, however. The thing i hate about the fluid film is the stench get a whiff of that it smells like it looks it smells like a dirty sheep uh. Personally, i think it smells like wet socks.

It's stuff's gross uh and here's. The free tip for you, folks, cinnamon, essential oil. Kid you not give it a couple: glugs glug, glug, glug right down in the right down in the mix. Take your little mixer stir it up.

Oh it smells so good in here now smells like a cinnamon farm. Once you get it stirred up and you don't need a lot, the essential oils are quite strong. Now mrs oh got ta give her credit. She is the one that put me onto this tip because she thinks it will keep rodents out of your car too, because of the essential oil, the cinnamon.

Apparently the mice, don't like cinnamon or christmas. I guess check it out. Folks, try it yourself, you'll love! It.

Smells even worse on these hot days. Wish I'd known this before I basted my car last month. Ah well, I'll just keep buying air fresheners by the bulk lol

Try mixing fluid film with antiseize to keep it wet and lubricated. Stops it from drying to the powdery form that most ppl hate about anti size. Has worked for me for years.

We just park the car in the garage and leave the house door open. Some say…what about the smell?… We said…. what smell.? Although eye drops do help if you want to sleep. 🤪

What about investing in a suitcase handheld fibre laser to remove rust without damaging good metal. It is also great for removing the grime from metal. This would really be for cars that are not cancerous. Laser off the rust and spray on the film . $15,000 to $20,000 for the unit, but think of all the business you would get in your part of the USA

I never heard of Fluid Film so I went to their website to research. While exploring undercoating I looked for installers. Low and behold they don’t list SMA. What’s that about? You plug them into your viewer base and they dis you like that? They should be a sponsor!

If Fluid Film so great at preventing rust then why inside barrel got rust? And my barrel not come with a Dewalt drill…. an every time I try to put cinnamon oil in spray can it sprays everywhere. Just not quick enough pouring oil in after put hole in can. Guess that is why it's called a spray can? Shit sprays everywhere….what a pain in ass to clean up….

Instead of smelling like the county fair, it can smell like standing in line for elephant ears at the county fair!

Looks like a 55 gallon drum of Cosomline preservative grease used on firearms from the former Soviet Union.

I’ve always kinda liked the scent of Fluid Film. I use that stuff quite often on the different ships I work on.

Eric, have you ever tried nh oil undercoating? I have been really happy with their product and I would be interested to hear your input on the product after use.

I do undercoating for people at my shop too Eric, so thank the Mrs on the essential oil tip. May even offer several for people as an option haha. The smell of the stuff doesn’t bother me much really but it is odd.

Pb blaster came out with a product called surface shield. Seen some great reviews on product. Lasts for 2 years VS one year with fluid film.

Add a little bit of nutmeg, cloves, ginger and allspice and you can advertise "Pumpkin Spice Fluid Film" in time for Fall.

Thank you! Adding an essential oil is something we used to do. A small percentage of this type of oil won’t harm the performance and can make it a little more pleasant when applying. Thank you for sharing Eric and Mrs. O!
